Who are the ACG?
Founded in 1980 by 18 brand owners, the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) is a trade association that is now recognised as an international authority on global counterfeiting. Though a non-profit organisation, ACG is focused on the future profits of legitimate businesses – by fighting against counterfeiting and brand abuse. Based in the UK, the association represents the interests of some 160 international companies worldwide.
Members include lawyers, experts on intellectual property and brand protection providers. Working closely with government, law enforcement agencies and other rights organizations, ACG campaigns against the trade in counterfeit goods on behalf of brand owners and their customers.
